First Trip Into the City

So Kristin's Fiance Mike came out to visit us on Thursday the 21st. We decided to take the long way into the city to see the sights. Along the way we drove past Marin Headlands which is a small state park area just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. This are offers amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, and the entire bay area. Since the bay area gets a nice cool breeze off the Pacific it was very nice just to stand outside and cool off (Sacramento has been around 110 F).


After enjoying the view from atop Marin Headlands we drove across the bridge into the city. I met the Dean of Pitt Law and another old colleague for a couple of drinks at the Fog City Diner (thanks again Pitt Law) while Trisha and Kristin went to SFO to pick up Mike. After getting some choice pictures next to the Zin Zanny Brothers Circus Mural we wondered over to Pier 39 for dinner. It was a nice evening in the city and a fairly uneventful drive back to the Sacramento Valley.
