Rain, Glorious Rain!

So, living in Pittsburgh teaches you to appreciate the sunny days. Everyone just accepts that for the majority of the Fall, Winter, and Spring the skies will darken and spew rain for weeks on end. Having been living in the Sacramento Valley for the past few months has really given us an appreciation for rain. I know you all think we are crazy...hoping for rain. But, how can you appreciate the good without the bad? Well, today the event we have been looking forward to finally happened. For the past few days mother nature has been teasing us with a drop here and there...but no real rain. Finally today we get the goods. Around 2:00pm today the skies opened up and dropped some of that sweet sweet rain. People began running outside to play in the rain. Offices emptied and business was postponed. It was the first rain of the season.

Could you imagine going to work in Pittsburgh and going outside everytime it rained? No one would ever get any work done.

I seem to think that a few months into this rainy season I will start to yearn for summer, but until then we will be playing in the rain with our co-workers!
