A Visit from my Father
This past weekend my dad and his friend Blaine came to visit us. Their plan was to fly into Reno and pick up their Harleys (which they shipped there) so they could drive up into Oregon, down to Sacramento, and across the US back home. They had originally planned to come into Sacramento on Friday, but they decided to leave Oregon a day early since it started to snow and more was predicted for Thursday night.
We had a lot of fun while they were here. On Saturday, we all went to Muir Woods to see the Coastal Redwoods, and dad and Blaine were fairly impressed as they are true woodsmen. We took them to see the Golden Gate Bridge and to spit in the Pacific Ocean.
Dad was even nice enough to bring me some goodies! He brought Mr. Mustard all the way from Pittsburgh, and they picked up some Wild Irish Rose somewhere in Oregon for our tasting pleasure. It was a version of Wild Irish that I've never seen before. It was called "Wild Green Apple" and probably could've doubled as anti-freeze. (It definitely tasted like it!)
It was too soon when they left on Sunday, but they needed to start their week-long journey back to Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, they missed the beautiful 95 degree weather that it's been for the past two days, but they did get 75 and sunny, so it wasn't a total loss. Hopefully, dad will have enjoyed his stay so much that he decides to bring his wife!

I am "shocked" that your Dad and Blaine brought you Wild Irish Rose apple antifreeze. Nothing like some of Blain's camp wine to set your cheeks aglow. All is well in Kane with Sandy and I, and we enjoy having Jody here again. We hope you enjoy your anniversary. We love you and we miss you!
